AFRO PUFF & STUFF COSTUME PARTY & SHOW FEATURING CARL "THE SMOOTH 1" SMITHAPRIL 13, 2019
BLUE DIVA PRODUCTIONS SPRING FLING
Sending a special thank you to all those who attended and performed at our annual Spring Fling at Whispers Lounge, NY
Carl Smith - The Smooth One was in attendance and was giving us something we could feel as he set the stage and gave us a preview of his upcoming show with Blue Diva Productions.
The spirit and sounds Barry White was in full effect thanks to the talent of Cornelius, MD - The Love Doctor. Wowing the crowd with some of Barry's great hits, having a sing-a-long with the audience and singing to some of the ladies in attendance, who had smiles from ear to ear. He even gave us some of his own original song from his new release.
Your spirit of caring,
sharing and love for old school events make it so worth while for me to
continue doing what I do to keep the music and style ALIVE...
Thank you
so very much and I can hardly wait to hang with you again at our next
event.

BLUE DIVA PRODUCTIONS HOLIDAY CELEBRATION
My special thanks and shout-out to all who attended the Holiday Show
& Party... We all had a blast. Special thanks to all the happy
birthday wisher and cup cakes I received and to the local celebrities
that graced our event and especially the true blue members of Blue Diva.
LEGACY
was awesome as always... making me cry with the beautiful sounds of a
medley of my old school favs. Sonny from Blue Magic sang with members
of Nu Millennium Acapella
group and LaLa from Encorz was also in the house, making it "the place
to be"... Thank you all... a true blessing of support.
GOING HOME...
Friend and entertainer to Blue Diva Productions, Tony “Showtime” Riley, last member of the Persuaders, singer of “It’s a Thin Line Between Love & Hate” was called home to God.
Since his first performance with us, I’ve received numerous calls for encore performances. Tony was always very gracious, warm and professional and made everyone around him feel right at home. Whether he was singing his signature song Thin Line or my favorite… When Something Is Wrong With My Baby, I found his soulful voice always had such a profound effect on my spirit. I’ll never forget, at his first show with Blue Diva, one of our members, Anita, asked him how he felt doing such an intimate show, as oppose to a big concert hall, and he said “I love playing intimate shows like this, because in a large concert hall if someone yells out “I love you Tony”, I’ll say it back, but I can’t see who’s saying it… but in an intimate show like what Blue Diva does, when someone says “I love you Tony, I can look them in the eye and say it back… I really like that.”
He was always on point with his vocals and the way he expressed the spirit of each song he sang… He was always encouraging and willing to help this small promoter where he could, and I loved him for it… never too grand, but always God loving and humble.
Tony
was a BEAUTIFUL PERSON and I will miss him so very much. Rest in Blessed Peace
my brother. Much love and adoration from
me and the whole Blue Diva Crew.

Great Tribute Written & Posted by Lincoln Sessoms
A Wonderful Man Who Will Not Be Forgotten!
As he walked to the stage impeccably dressed with a towel in his hand as if he was warning everyone watching the stage “Its On” we all knew it was show time and we were about to be entertained by an extremely talented person as part of a group or as a solo act, as he has been the past few years. With people loving him all over The United States including the 8 boroughs of New York City when you include New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut not to mention Strong Island! This guy gave 100 percent to the audience even when he was extremely sick. He loved entertaining and sure could sing those ballads with the best of them. In the dictionary next to the name show time should be a photo of this wonderful and outstanding performer.
Yes the name was Showtime but his name to so many others was: Great Husband, Great Dad, Great Friend. Caring and Understanding Person, Community Minded Person, Real Person, Loving Person, Straight Forward Person, Respectful Person, Appreciative Person, and that person who always had an opinion while always speaking his mind!
To so many he will always be Showtime. But for the record he was and is Tony Riley or formerly Anthony Riley. I can hear Frankie Crocker high above in Heaven bringing him to the stage today: “Ladies and Gentlemen a special treat and a person I sure would have loved working with on Earth, Tony Showtime Riley!” And out walks Tony healthy and feeling good dressed like a star with his hat (not cap) up on one side and bent on the other with his towel. In the audience The Temptations, Cuba Gooding, The Dells, The Persuaders, and many others are cheering like a crowd in Memphis would if they saw Elvis alive again. Yes Al Goodman, a Mentor to Tony, is backstage right encouraging Tony to do well after asking if he had his tracks, something Al always reminded Tony to do. Oh its on and popping in Heaven because as we all know when Tony “Showtime” Riley is in the building exciting things happen!
In my many years working in various fields including entertainment I have never seen Tony say one bad thing or gossip about anyone except Promoters who do not pay. Glad I always paid him and glad he always gave great deals because he was community minded when it came to a certain free event we do each summer in Harlem. Tony said on Facebook a while back: :Tony “Showtime” Riley is a brand, so be prepared to make the right offer, I’ve earned it And he really has. But truth be told Tony loved singing so much he did it at a moments notice because he was born to sing.
Personally I feel Tony taught so many people especially men how to love. He did this by always posting his love for his outstanding wife Anita and his Sons. Truth be told he shamed lots of people without knowing it into being better mates and friends. Tony loved loving! He loved his family and was so happy about each and every one of them! And they loved him back and would go to war for him as they did if anyone came after him in person or even on Facebook. I guess as much as he loved singing, he loved family more. And that’s a great thing!
As I entered his hospital room on his last day before he left to star in Heaven, I felt a sense of peace and calmness. I looked at this guy we all appreciate and adore and saw a good looking and handsome man with a look that could say he was on his way to true paradise! I mean he looked so at peace as his family sat around greeting various visitors. Sitting in the waiting area outside of his room I could only think back at how wonderful he was and also how appreciative.
Tony “Showtime” Riley might have left the planet but he sure remains in our hearts in so many positive ways. Rest in Peace Tony knowing your family will be OK because thousands have their back if they need us. Like I said earlier to your Wife: If you need us we will pack the room like James Brown Packed The Apollo many years ago.
God Bless Tony Riley, Anita Cook-Riley, and the entire family!
The Circle Line is known for its excellent ships and crew... it was smooth
sailing with good drinks & eats for a reasonable price. The double
decker ship had a DJ upstairs with games and prizes for the best costumes from
the 70’s & 80’s and a raffle for cash prizes and a large flat screen T.V. (unfortunately,
I didn’t win). Downstairs, where we
stayed most of the time, was a DJ and Karaoke… and one very lively crowd. Of course I got on the mic along with the
other brave souls… and guess what, even Allan P. go on the mic!!!
We danced, we sang, we ate & drank and we rocked along with the boat. Unfortunately for me by the time I took Allan outside for some hugs and cuddle time, it was time to go…. WHERE DID THE TIME GO! We were having so much fun, the time just got away from us.
I’d like to thank all of the member of Blue Diva and the Unwind member who lite up the boat and made our first annual boat ride a great success… and we look forward to the next one.

AFRO PUFF & STUFF
'70s & 80s Costume & Masquerade Party
Mannnnn.... we had a blast at the 1st Annual Afro Puff & Stuff Party!!! The food was good, the location was comfy, the DJ & music was on point to dance to, the crowd was hyped and the entertainment was out of sight!!! Like they say the people make the party... and we had some of the best people you could have in the house! Everyone was so chill & real and really came to have a good time, and that's what really makes for a good time. Much love and much talent was to be had there. Some came dressed in something from the 70s 80s, some opted out, but everyone was in the mood for the old school groove. The winner for the best costume was our own Cindy Martin wearing a sexy and cute Rainbow Brite outfit. They sang along with the “name that tune” segment and with the stars... Tony Showtime Riley and Carl Smith. They were wowed by the vibrant MC Ms. V, and danced, danced, danced to the spins of DJ Pope. This was the 1st and certainly won’t be the last annual costume party. Baby I Feel sorry for you if you missed it…

The August 3rd show in our Soulful Sundays Series, ''An Intimate Afternoon with....." Mr. Tony "Showtime" Riley, (singer of "It's a Thin Line Between Love & Hate") was HUGE. Our members filled the house and gave much love to our performers. We had some very talented people entertaining us. In the 'Rising Stars' Showcase we featured Luckee and Theda Clay and the featured entertainer for the event was Mr. Tony 'Showtime' Riley. These performers laid some vocals on us that had toes tapping and bodies swaying. They made it a wonderful event! Every voice was on point and got the audience so stirred up they wanted to get up and sing after the performance! It was great. Special thanks to Showtime for singing my personal favorite 'When Something is Wrong with My Baby'.

MAY'S SPRING EVENT 2014
Courtesy of Soul 1 Entertainment
Bronx Classic Soul Concert
The May 31st 2014 concert held at the Rafeal Hernandez Auditorium was 'off the hook'... you got a full dose of talent with performances by The Delfonics Revue, Jessie D of The Force MD's, Shades of Soul, Carl T, and Crystal Notez. Chaz was the MC for the show and had his own brand of talent that kept the crowd going and the jokes and gags flowing for the whole time. He was a real crowd pleaser and I appreciate the great job he did. The Shades of Soul wowed us with sign-alongs of some of our favorite songs from the 70s/80s; Carl T and Crystal Notez charmed us with their soulful voices and Crystal showed off her writing talents by singing a duet that she wrote with Johnnie Johnson that was oh so sweet. Jessie D got everyone on their feet with his energy and performance of some of The Force MDs hits. And of course The Delfonics Revue put the cherry on top with their polished and talented performance.... but a special love note goes out to lead singer Benny Daniels, he slayed everyone and had audience member actually crying when he sang 'For the love that I gave to you" with only the great harmony of Greg & Tommy and a soulful guitar accompanying them. CONGRATULATION TO ALL FOR A GREAT SHOW.

June's Special Guest Performers The Delfonics Revue
These guys are no joke… they sang, they danced, they led the crowd in a sign-alone to La La Means I Love You, they had me almost in tears with their harmonizing to ‘For The Love I Gave To You’. Then to top it all off… they gave out posters and personally autographed each! And posed for pictures with our members! All the time being so cheerful and professional.
The members couldn’t stop calling me and telling me what a great time they had. I loved every moment of it. Even when we had some technical difficulty with the sound system… they remained cool and loving. I LOVE YOU GUYS.
I highly recommend that if you or your organization is having a special event coming up that you consider hiring them for your affair. They are such a pleasure to work with and they really love what they are doing and they love their fans. It shows in all that they do… professional all the way, with talent in excess!
I’ve included some of the pic from their June Soulful Sundays Series show with Blue Diva Productions at Escape. You wouldn’t want to miss any of the Upcoming Events we have planned to ‘get you out of the house and party with your peers’
